You might find this interesting, if you are at all into Whiskey and are in the Portland area. There’s going to be a Whiskey Release Party at Beaker & Flask on Aug 16th from 5pm – 8pm hosted by the Lucky Tiger Whiskey Group:
On Sunday August 16th, Bourbon & Whiskey fans alike will gather at newly opened Beaker & Flask to celebrate the release of Lucky Tiger barrel # 95 –a truly unique single barrel bourbon selected by Portland whiskey fans.
In May of 2009 members of the Portland group Lucky Tiger traveled to Kentucky to select this second single barrel release.
We were honored by the opportunity to select from the coveted collection of bourbon at the Buffalo Trace Distillery under the watchful eye of legendary distiller Elmer T. Lee.
The whiskey traveled well and on Sunday August 16th we will toast barrel #95 and Elmer as he celebrates his 90th birthday!
$10 gets you entrance to the party, hors d’ouvres, and glasses of both Elmer T. Lee’s original Single Barrel and Lucky Tiger’s barrel #95.
Matt Mount (House Spirits), Kelley Swenson (Ten01) and Aaron Zieske (Ten01) will mix signature barrel #95 cocktails at the cash bar. Hors d’ouvres will be prepared by Chef Nate Tilden (Clyde Common). Drinks, food, and hospitality will be provided by Lucky Tiger members Lauren Souther (Clyde Common), Shane Feirstein (Park Kitchen), and Daniel Stern (Urban Farmer). Host Timothy Davey (Beaker & Flask) will provide an introduction and formal toast.
The event is open to the public. Simply RSVP to email@example.com to join the guest list.
