Via BBC News | News Front Page | UK Edition, “Coca-Cola threat to quit schools“:
“Coca-Cola said it might withdraw its vending machines network from schools over the fizzy drinks ban.”
Yeah, well, don’t let the door hit you on the ass, on your way out, buddy. I’m sure the schools feel stressed about the money they lose, but that frees them up to re-evaluate whether such agreements are really the way to go, and maybe, in a less than ideal solution, to negotiate a new contract.
Now, if only we could get the commercial references out of the textbooks too … I swear it’s like mold. Once it’s there … it’s damned hard to get rid of.
I talked with my brothers to see if they had references in their textbooks via e-mail a while ago. I should go back and find that conversation.
