“Dream a little dream of me …”

Hillary Clinton will join with Joe Lieberman to hold a press conference today at 3 pm ET to announce the launch of a television PSA campaign about… video game ratings” No! Padme, don’t! He’s really Darth Sidious! WTF?! I have to be honest, Clinton’s harping on video games is actually the number one reason I don’t think I want to vote for her. I fear it’s a sign of a deeper problem with reality and a disturbing need to side with political expediency instead of doing what’s right. Not to mention the fact that it’s a cheap way to try to score political points by bashing video games as a popular scapegoat. But, moreover, to do it with Lieberman?! Hasn’t everyone realized he’s evil yet?

Then, again, I guess people are still falling for the get rich dream of Nigerian e-mail scams [via].

You know, how about the unrealistic dream of Student Loan forgiveness to ease student debt? Now, that would be a self-serving cause I could support!

“Bush responded curtly, “It’s bad in Iraq. That help?” and then chuckled.” I’m not sure denial is even of the same order of magnitude as what’s going on here … doesn’t denial denote at least the existence in thought of the thing being denied? The facility with which the espoused reality changes and is warped seems to indicate that the espoused reality is not firmly held, that what is being espoused is understood as illusion. Nothing the President says matters because the President believes it does not matter what he says. Could that mean not only that it is a farce, but that he knows it is a farce?
